Bonsai is a Japanese art form, practiced over centuries,  using cultivation techniques to produce small trees in containers that mimic the shape and scale of full size trees.

In this hands-on signature class, Carrie Ebinger will teach you the about the basics for creating your own Bonsai.

For beginners,  this 2.5 hour course will cover:
  • The history and over view of this ancient art form.
  • Techniques of Bonsai - leaf trimming, wiring, pruning, etc
  • Bonsai Care - watering, repotting, tools, soil, fertilizing, proper placement etc.
  •  Review the different container options and their purpose.
  •  Discuss the different Bonsai styles.

In addition attendees will be planting thier own Bonsai dish. 

All materials (pre-trained bonsai tree, bonsai container, and soil) will be provided for this clas.  

Your Ticket Includes: 
  • 2.5 hours of instruction and hands–on studio time, in a small group setting.

  • Basic knowledge of Bonsai - history, technique, care, containers, and design sytle options. 
  • Class notes for review after the class.
  • Make-N-Take: hands-on creatiion of personal Bonsai dish.
  • Use of assembly tools
  • Care & assembly instructions to maintain & recreate this project

Ages 15 to adult welcomed
Each student leaves with their Bonsai dish creation and the knowledge to recreate that creation again in the future,  plus a 15% storewide discount off all plants, gifts, and more during the workshop event (excluding gift cards).
